FITMAS DAY ELEVEN WORKOUT

It’s Christmas Eve!!! How can it be? I must say, this year does not feel like Christmas, but here we are. We don’t celebrate “Christmas” in my house in the sense that many do, so I am okay with it feeling like a normal time.

Let’s do 3 sets of the following workout:

12 Curtsy Lunges Each Leg: stand tall, step one foot back and diagonally behind the other (like a curtsy), bend both knees to lower down with your torso upright and hips square, keeping weight in the front heel, and then push back up to the start, engaging your glutes and core for stability.

12 Split Squats Each Leg: stand with feet hip-width apart, step one foot back (heel up), and lower down until your front thigh is parallel to the floor and your back knee hovers just above the ground, keeping your chest up and torso vertical;then, drive through your front foot to return up, focusing on control and balance, often with weights like dumbbells.

30 sec March and Reach: stand tall, lift one knee high (like a march) while simultaneously reaching with the opposite arm towards that raised knee or across your body, engaging your core and glutes for stability, then alternate sides fluidly to improve balance and core strength.

12 Sumo Squat Pulses: start wide with toes out, squat down deep (thighs parallel), then stay low and pulse up just a few inches and back down, repeating this mini-movement for reps before standing all the way up to finish the set.

12 Glute Bridge Chest Fly: lie on your back, knees bent, feet flat, holding dumbbells above your chest with palms facing, then lift hips into a bridge while slowly lowering weights out to the sides with slightly bent elbows, feeling a stretch, and squeezing your chest to bring them back up over your chest, all while keeping your glutes tight and core engaged.
